What is PreViser?

PreViser’s technology provides information that dentists and hygienists use to manage periodontal patients and triage recall.

PreViser’s technology may be beneficial to a dental practice that wants to provide the best care and service or increase revenue or profitability. Dental practices achieve these results by incorporating procedures, policies, and protocols based on metrics of the practice derived from the routine use of PreViser’s technology. The key is PreViser’s unique and objective scores that accurately describe the periodontal condition of a patient. The PreViser scores simplify the explanation of the patient’s periodontal condition and how it has changed over time. This is easily understood by patients as they are already familiar with scores like blood pressure, blood sugar, and blood cholesterol. To assist a dental practice in the management of a periodontal patient the following reports are available when a PreViser assessment is completed:

1. A report is created for the patient, which includes:

• PreViser scores with a description of their meaning and a graphical display of the scores over time, when applicable.
• A comparison of each clinical measurement that describes the patient’s periodontal condition compared to normal.
• An optionally printed non-inclusive list of possible treatment interventions stack-ranked by treatment effectiveness based on scientific evidence for each clinical condition.

1. A report is created for the patient’s clinical record, which includes:

• PreViser scores and a graphical display of the scores over time, when applicable.
• The clinical observations that were entered into the PreViser system.
• A non-inclusive list of possible treatment interventions stack-ranked by treatment effectiveness based on scientific evidence for each clinical condition.
• A range of recall intervals based on scientific evidence for the patient’s scores.

1. A report is created that correlates a patient’s clinical condition and recent history to published referral guidelines.

The information contained in these reports is provided as a guideline. Clinicians are advised to diagnose and plan treatment based on the patient’s objectives and clinician’s professional experience and judgment.
